We know that in today’s highly competitive global marketplace, the pressure on our customers’ organisation to find new ways to create and deliver value to their customers grows ever stronger.

We are aware that there is a growing recognition that it is through logistic efficiency and effective management of supply chain that the twin goals of cost reduction and service enhancement can be achieved. In fact, some called it the next productivity frontier in business management.

However, any cost reduction initiative undertaken by just focusing at reducing the cost of product or raw material would not result in significant and sustainable cost savings in the long run. This is because the product cost is only part of the total procurement cost or cost of acquisition in supply chain management.
