Electrical Maintenance

Motor Control

Speed is always a critical factor in our fast-paced working environment.  In commercial buildings, industrial plants, etc, motors can be found almost everywhere in these installations.  Lifts, escalators, fans, pumps, blowers, etc.  With increasing energy prices, there is a need to control these motors that consume high in-rush currents during its starting time.  Bundled in high efficiency motors and the appropriate motor control equipment such as Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and Soft-starters, energy usage can be greatly reduced.  Using a VSD to slow down a fan or pump motor speed from 100% to 80% can save as much as 50% on the energy usage.  Our service includes Design,Installation and Testing & Commissioning as well as servicing and repairing works for motors.

Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) Services

A Licensed Electrical Worker is a person who is technically competent in carrying out electrical works and is licensed by Energy Market Authority (EMA). By appointing a LEW to take charge of your installation ensures that your electrical installation is properly maintained in compliance with the safety requirements as set out in the Electricity Act (Cap. 89A). Our service includes the provision of LEW for shutdowns and/or supervision works as well as endorsement of drawings.

Advanced Infrared Thermography

For facilities management or plant engineers, finding new ways to avert costly failures of their installations is practically second nature. When it comes to industrial maintenance particularly, thermography testing is one approach that has been popular over the years. It is largely used to evaluate operating conditions of electrical components in Motor Control Centres (MCCs), as well as to aid in troubleshooting of motors, pumps, fans, compressors and possible loose or corroded electrical connections. Make Thermal Imaging as part of your preventive maintenance as it is a simple and cost-effective way to enable users to identify the potential areas of equipment failure and limit downtime.

Transformer Servicing

It is essential and important that power transformers undergo regular maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of this equipment. A transformer without regular maintenance may see its lifespan decreased and eventually results in failure and unnecessary downtime. Maintenance data gathered after each servicing should be evaluated correctly to promote the transformer’s improved functioning and reliability. The user may also know when the transformer is reaching its end of life and be prepared for its replacement. Our services also includes oil sampling and testing, oil retro-filling, load tap changers, bushing and radiator replacement and re-gasketing.
