Advanced technology

With a proven design and using the same high quality pneumatics as found in professional firefighter breathing apparatus, the Draeger PAS Lite ensures consistent high performance and reliability over the lifetime of the apparatus with minimal maintenance. The carrying system features an ultra lightweight, high strength carbon composite space-frame having excellent impact, heat and chemical resistance, as well as outstanding durability.

Integrated hose design

Both the air supply and gauge hoses are mounted into the space-frame, thus reducing the risk of snagging and entanglement. This enables the user to change the hose position from one side to another to suit individual preference. The fully integrated hose design also means that hoses can be replaced easily and cost effectively.

Efficient load distribution

Incorporating new materials that are shaped and formed to provide maximum comfort at both the shoulders and the waist, the carrying system has been developed to reduce back strain, stress and fatigue. The innovative harness design ensures an excellent weight distribution at the shoulders. The inclusion of durable rubber coated fabric provides excellent wearing comfort and chemical resistance, whilst also performing well during the flame engulfment test in line with EN137 Type 2.

Service friendly

A number of unique design features ensure that downtime and costs are kept to a minimum during repair and maintenance. All major components of the Draeger PAS Lite are quick and easy to assemble and disassemble, including the harness which is attached to the space-frame by a simple single-piece retention method. The reducer is contained in the space-frame for added protection and can easily be removed with simple tools. The harness is also highly resistant and impervious to chemicals, making decontamination and cleaning a simple, straightforward task.

Proven, robust and flexible

In line with other Draeger breathing apparatus, the Draeger PAS Lite allows users to take advantage of the tried and tested systems that lie behind the best breathing apparatus in the world. Developed as a result of years of research and extensive user consultation, these benefits include the use of the same advanced pneumatics as used in the whole professional firefighting range of Draeger.
The Draeger PAS Lite can be further adapted to suit specific industrial applications. As well as standard fit easy to clean harness, integrated Lung Demand Valve (LDV) and pneumatic gauge complete with high pressure whistle warning unit at the base of the space-frame, electronic monitoring (Bodyguard II) or airline ready options such as the Draeger PAS ASV can be specified. Integrating easily with all Draeger PAS Airline equipment, this flexible breathing apparatus is also fully compatible with Draeger Panorama and FPS 7000 Face Mask ranges. Our SCBA is designed for use with single steel or carbon composite cylinders rated at 4 to 9 L, 200 and 300 bar. A number of secondary supply connections are available for use in rescue, decontamination or airline applications. The Draeger PAS Lite can also be fitted with a variety of electronic voice communication options.

Combined with appropriate filters, airline systems or self-contained breathing apparatus, the respiratory mask Panorama Nova is a reliable and safe system. If the contaminants are known and if enough oxygen is available, the Panorama Nova together with the Dräger filter program offers reliable protection. In conjunction with a self-contained breathing apparatus or airline system, it also allows use of the Dräger Panorama Nova independent of the ambient atmosphere.

Secure fit and wearing comfort

The mask body of the Panorama Nova is made from EPDM or silicone which is especially gentle on skin. It remains extremely flexible at both high and low temperatures. Its double sealing frame and triple face seal provide a secure and comfortable fit for almost all face shapes. Thanks to the universal size, logistics and storage are greatly simplified. Alternatively, the Panorama Nova is also available with Supra adapters for use as mask-helmet-combination with helmets of the Dräger HPS series.

Clear panoramic view even during prolonged use

The distortion-free visor is optionally made of impact resistant polycarbonate or of chemical-resistant triplex. The 180° wide angle offers a nearly unrestricted field of view. The intelligent ventilation system ensures a mist-free visor.

Dräger NANO Cylinder (NLL), Type 4

The Dräger NANO, Type 4 full composite cylinder is specifically engineered to minimize the weight you carry during hazardous firefighting operations. Thus, it reduces fatigue and increases your agility. It is currently one of the lightest gas cylinders in the market with a shell weight of 2.8 kg (6.8 l of air/300 bar including impact-resistant caps). Designed with PET liner and carbon nanotube technology, it offers weight reduction by more than 47 % when compared to steel type 1 cylinders. Equipped with a lighter cylinder, you also benefit with a longer duration of air consumption and an increase of air supply if using a twinning option. The combination of lightweight sturdy cylinder material with impact-resistant caps ensures high durability and solid robustness.

Dräger Carbon Composite Cylinder, Type 3

Our Carbon Composite Cylinder, Type 3 features a seamless aluminum liner, wrapped with carbon fibers with a fiberglass outer layer gives it a smooth resin finish. This also makes the cylinders lightweight, easy to clean and extremely resistant to shocks, chemicals and abrasion. As a result, you benefit from a weight reduction of 33 % when compared to conventional steel type 1 cylinders. Apart from that, the cylinders are manufactured and tested in accordance with technologically advanced processes.

In addition, Dräger offers a range of steel cylinders to suit low cost applicati­ons such as the marine industry, whilst maintaining a continuous high standard of application.

We offer an excess flow valve (EFV) to prevent the uncontrolled outflow of gas in case of unintentional opening or damage to the cylinder valve. This feature enables you to activate or deactivate the excess flow without hindering its performance. In addition, approved according to EN 144-2018, the valve offers even greater resistance against forceful impacts while still ensuring full functionality. With Dräger’s Quick Connect technology, you can change cylinders quickly without the need for screwing or unscrewing the handwheel manually. It saves you time and ensures a safe connection between the cylinder and breathing apparatus.
